Gislaved Tires at Holm’s Mechanical

I have a 2014 BMW 328i that could not start with a transmission error coming up on the dashboard. I got in touch with Holm’s Mechanical. They organized a tow truck to pick up the car, inspected the car and let me know that all I needed was a new battery and some gas. Given the age of the car they also recommended some work needed on the vehicle at a later stage. The level of honesty and professionalism was truly amazing, not only will I take my car back to get the rest of the work completed, I m also definitely recommending the company to friends.

I can’t recommend this shop enough! After our dealership told us the engine on our Kia Sportage needed to be replaced at a cost of $8000+, we decided to get a second opinion—and we’re so glad we did.

The team at Holm’s took the time to perform an incredibly thorough diagnostic instead of jumping straight to the most expensive solution. They provided a detailed report explaining exactly what they found, along with clear recommendations, and confirmed that we didn’t need a new engine. Their honesty and expertise saved us thousands of dollars.

They also identified a few other maintenance items, giving us a complete picture of our vehicle’s condition without any pressure or upselling.

On top of that, their customer service was outstanding. Communication was excellent throughout the process, and having a courtesy car made everything so much more convenient.
It’s rare to find a shop that combines honesty, technical expertise, and exceptional customer service so well. We’ll definitely be returning for future maintenance and repairs, and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for a mechanic they can truly trust.

Reg and his team at Holm's Mechanical serviced my 2005 Nissan Pathfinder LE air conditioning system and fixed the problems with it. The work done on the ac was great and they fixed an ac refrigerant leak. The mechanic did forget to screw back the transmission dipstick connector bolt and check the transmission fluid level.

Thank you for looking after my Toyota Tundra. I appreciate all of the clear communication. As well you found a parking brake issue that no other shop had identified until I came to you. I will be telling everyone about you.

If you’re searching for an automotive repair shop that genuinely goes above and beyond, look no further — this is the place. These guys are absolute professionals. They gave me clear, accurate information about the Upper Control Arm replacement for my Tesla Model Y and kept in constant communication throughout the day.

They picked up my car from my office, handed me a courtesy vehicle, and even offered free winter tire storage. For the first time ever, I felt completely worry free sending my car in for repairs. Finding Holm’s Mechanical has been a total game changer, and I honestly couldn’t be happier.

I went to Holm's Mechanical for a second opinion on my BMW X5 after the dealership advised me that my pinion seal and axel seals were both leaking and required repair. After inspection at Holm's, i was told only my pinion seal required repair and they were able to take care of the issue in a timely manner. I really appreciate the honesty and helping me save money on a repair that obviously was not required at this time.

In the past two weeks we have had 2 vehicles serviced by Reg at HOLM’S to our complete satisfaction . The repair estimate from a competitor was sizeable so we sought a second opinion and Reg had been recommended to us . Reg assessed the repairs, eliminated unnecessary ones , and saved us over $2000 . The work was completed promptly, a courtesy car was provided , the guarantee is generous and reassuring . All this was done in a most friendly, respectful manner . We highly recommend Reg and his staff at Holms mechanical , for trustworthy auto repairs .

EXCELLENT SERVICE!

Reg, beat his promised return of my trailer fleet by 48 hours. We will continue to use Holm 's for our entire fleet of trucks & trailers.

Best automotive repairs ever. Between my car and my RV I have zero complaints. Always courtesy, they have a courtesy car waiting for me, the fixes are true issue resolved fixes. Been through a lot of mechanics, just wish I had found you earlier in my driving life.

I took my 1979 camper van here for an interprovincial inspection after getting jerked around at another garage for 5 weeks. Reg was amazing and had my van ready to go 2 weeks after I dropped it off. Although it’s a bit of drive from Vancouver these guys will be my go place for car problems from now on.

A huge thank you to Kevin, Reg and Brandon for their above and beyond service, friendliness and support. After an incident caused by a different garage, Holm's Mechanical completed the repairs and got us back on our way safely. We can't thank them enough for their professionalism and kindness. Samantha and Mike

This mechanic is amazing! I have struggled to find people who speak the language of a "senior" f350. These guys were kind, honest, easy to work with. They have a fleet of curtesy cars which took the additional financial stress of renting a vehicle while the repairs took place. Their prices are fair, and i can't say enough about how happy I am to have my truck home, on time, under budget, running like she did the day I bought her.

I recently had a great experience with Holm’s Mechanical. I recently had my catalytic converter stolen. They handled my ICBC claim and set me up with a courtesy car. They made the necessary repairs and I was able to get back on the road quickly. Great customer service with clear communication – highly recommended.

I’ve been a customer for well over 10 years. Holm’s always provides excellent service. Brought in one of our cars recently for an oil change and overall inspection. They are professionals, honest and trustworthy, only recommending items that have to be repaired or replaced.

They fixed my car sooner than expected ( they realised im a traveller and caint leave the car over night) they are Quick and efficient . Warmly recomend them

I've been a loyal customer of Holms Mechanical for over thirty years, and they have consistently exceeded my expectations. Their knowledgeable staff, including Dean and Brent, always provide top-notch service. Reg in the office is incredibly efficient and friendly, making every interaction a pleasure. Kevin, the owner, clearly leads by example, ensuring that the quality of work and customer satisfaction are always a top priority. Five stars all the way for Holms Mechanical!

I love this bussiness and how they conduct themselves with explaining the work needed now or down the road. I bring my personnal vehical and my wifes car for all services here. They also provide a loaner car if needed which makes for a very easy drop off and return for the busy at work customers. Thank you Reg for all your help

I purchased a car in BC from New Brunswick and during shipping ran into an electrical issue at port, these guys gave me all great advice provided me with a contact for a reliable towing service, had my car repaired and returned to the shipping company the next day. Made sure that my car(1966 antique Beetle) was stored indoors and well looked after!! Took all the stress away which considering I'm at the other end of the country was greatly appreciated!!

Friendly, honest, professional service. Needed an emergency repair and they squeezed me in same day on a Friday before the long weekend. They saved the weekend!

This shop was fantastic. I’m a contractor and was working out of town. My diesel cube van broke down and this shop was recommended by the tow truck company. Reg treated it like the emergency it was (out of town, $$$ worth of tools onboard etc). To say these people were efficient and professional would be an understatement…..the work was done quickly and the bill was amazingly reasonable. I will literally bring my fleet vehicles to Holms for all servicing. Thanks again!
